From MediaWiki
I guess you could say that I am a fiction-purist. I get the most enjoyment out of taking the fiction as it is presented to me, "mistakes" and all. I tend to regard extra-fictional explanations and clarifications of fictional events by the creators (in blogs and such) as noise. At best they are sometimes spoilers for events I would rather have seen in future fiction. At worst I mentally dismiss such statements as their personal canon, even though they are the creators.
That's just me. I suppose every fan has their quirks. I won't let it affect my wiki editing.
Examples
- Blurr is very much unambiguously dead.
- Rodimus' status is unknown, but I fear the worst.
- Starscream's ship in The Reign of Starscream is a Nemesis because it was named as such in Ghosts of Yesterday.
- It is also the Nemesis because it looks exactly the same and there is, as of yet, no in-fiction event that would completely rule the possibility out.
I also have a high regard for character bios.
- Jazz survived and was rebuilt. Sometime. Perhaps far in the future?
- Sunstorm is a raving madbot bent on destruction. The Sycophant Starscream is therefore a different clone altogether.
