Should this be deleted? Some person may try to find Jolt (Movie), the redeco of Cybertron Crosswise, but was unaware that he was renamed Dead End for some incredibly minor appearance in an obscure comic book, and I'm sure there are still links around the wiki here and there using this name (specifically referring to the toy). --FFN 05:54, 6 June 2009 (EDT)

No, it shouldn't be deleted. Jolt is a canonical alternate name for the guy. - Starfield 08:56, 6 June 2009 (EDT)
If people are looking by "Jolt", then they'll type in... "Jolt". Not "Jolt (Movie)". —Interrobang 17:59, 6 June 2009 (EDT)
Not true. I've actually typed in "Thundercracker (Cybertron)" many times forgetting there technically exists an Armada incarnation that's considered the same characters. Some people know our types of disambiguation without knowing if he's been renamed, rebranded, repurposed, etc. --Detour 18:19, 6 June 2009 (EDT)
Finally, someone agrees with me... - SanityOrMadness 14:15, 7 June 2009 (EDT)
That's what the disambigs are for. Jolt (Movie) is accurate for the Crosswise redeco. Devastator (Movie) still redirects to Brawl (Movie) - Starfield 18:39, 6 June 2009 (EDT)

Frankly, I still find the move to "Dead End (Movie)" retarded. He was Jolt first, he was Jolt long before his hi-then-die cameo in an obscure comic book, and I guarentee most anyone who knows who the fuck the guy is knows him as Jolt, not Dead End. We can say "He is also known as Dead End" in his little continuity note, but the page should remain at "Jolt (Movie)". -- M Sipher still not logged in.

I agree! I think the first Movie guy should be kept at Jolt (Movie). --Monzo 04:25, 7 June 2009 (EDT)
The evidence for the toy Jolt being the same character as the comic Dead End is not ironclad. They have a different altmode, name, and backstory (the comic guy isn't an allspark Mutation) but similar colors. He never transformed to robot mode so there is no similarities to check for there. Maybe we should split Jolt from all the Dead Ends. Edit: I was sort of waiting to see the deluxe bio to see how he fits into the mix before I really weighed in on the issue. - Starfield 14:08, 7 June 2009 (EDT)

For everyone that keeps saying "some obscure comic book," this character also appeared in The Veiled Threat, where he was again identified as Dead End. -Derik 14:14, 7 June 2009 (EDT)

Seems to me that that could be considered repurposing. Deadend/Dead End doesn't match Jolt's bio. —Interrobang 14:33, 7 June 2009 (EDT)
In what way? Allspark mutation vs. pre-existing? That's a common problem with bios though. -Derik 14:37, 7 June 2009 (EDT)
