Should we have 70's entries, for things like Diaclone being released in Japan, maybe even some specific dates, if we know them (what date various series premiered, TFTM's theatrical release, etc?) -hx 14:21, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

I can't think if a good reason not to. --M Sipher 14:21, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
Shouldn't we categorize this somehow? Or make it readily available from the main page? --M Sipher 14:49, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
II would think this would fall udner the same category as an article on a Botcon, which lists dates, attendance number,s keynote speakers, etc. Nonfictional information. (I have no idea if we have such a category though.) -Derik 18:53, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

"The Transformers launches in the US, in toy, comic and cartoon formats, forever ruining Transformers." Genius. --Andrusi 18:36, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

My hat is off to whoever added that bit about "The dawn of time". TVsGrady 02:29, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

I noted the new preview of Transformers Animated. Fans don't seem to be taking it that badly now. Instead of "RUINED FOREVER", we just get "RUINED". 67.160.13.149 22:49, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

I love how the first recorded fan reaction for Transformers is plain compaining and bashing... XD -Hepathos 23:56, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Dawn of time

As much as I agree with it, I dunno if those jokes have a place here. ...at least, in the body of the article itself. Now, fit it in a caption, and we have cart blanche. --ItsWalky 00:41, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

Despite my objections, I have fixed some errors. --ItsWalky 00:44, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
what day of the week was October 23? -Derik 02:59, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
I dunno. My Windows calendar doesn't go back that far. --ItsWalky 03:26, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
Sunday --FortMax 04:23, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
Also, the footnote should probably note that while the date referred to is G1:1, the date in question was calculated by all the begatting. -Derik 03:02, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
I guess we could put the "note" with Wikipedia:Image:God2-Sistine Chapel.png and remove the bullet point, but I don't think it has the same panache. Thanks for correcting my errors, anyway; I forgot it was 6,000 years before now, not Christ. Interrobang 04:28, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

De-snarking

In like the of the recent deletions and reversions, I think this page actually could stand to be totally de-snarked, and would be better off purely as straight forward information. --KilMichaelMcC 21:26, 11 June 2009 (EDT)

I completely disagree. --M Sipher 21:32, 11 June 2009 (EDT)
Well, to cite a specific problem I have with it, things like "Everyone loves "Transformers 2000," but they hate Robots in Disguise" don't do much to help accurately convey information to people unfamiliar with the history of the brand and its fandom. --KilMichaelMcC 22:59, 11 June 2009 (EDT)
Footnote it! -Derik 23:18, 11 June 2009 (EDT)
It would take quite an extensive footnote to explain the history of the non-existant "Transformers 2000." and to clarify that not "everyone" loved it, and that not "everyone" hated RiD. And we'd need plenty more footnotes for the other jokes here, too. How about we just make this article more focused on being user-friendly for readers looking to familiarize themselves with the history of Transformers, and forget about the self-amusement? Or is that crazy talk? --KilMichaelMcC 23:25, 11 June 2009 (EDT)
