I don't remember where I heard this, but I seem to recall someone saying Devastator not having any preset configuration, and just being formed out of whatever components are nearby. He is present in the Devastator toys. --Detour 02:58, 17 June 2009 (EDT)

The Constructicons are going to be complicated. No one except Demolishor is named in either the comic or novel. We know Devastator forms with Rampage and Long Haul from the toys. Since we see Rampage and Long Haul after Devastator forms I think there are two possibilities. 1) Those aren't Rampage and Long Haul we see but look-alikes. or 2) Devastator can form with any combination of Constructicons, including Rampage and Long Haul, but simply didn't include those two this time, meaning the toy is formed from different Constructicons than the movie. That's no fun, and illogical. Usually continuity errors like that are separated by a few comic issues or episodes. I was looking forward to a "Rampage II" page or something. But if the fiction is illogical, you might be right that the wiki should reflect that instead of trying to patch it up. Detour--I wasn't at BC09, but I've read reports that source that notion to Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci's panel. They purportedly said that there is a huge tribe of Constructicons, of which any number may combine into Devastator, the latter being like a giant metal amoeba. --Thylacine 2000 11:38, 17 June 2009 (EDT)

Regarding Devastator having no preset configuration based on comments by Kurtzman and Orci: How much weight would those comments have? The The Movie Universe book has a profile on Devastator saying "When large-scale demolition is called for, Hightower, Long Haul, Mixmaster, Rampage, Scavenger, and Scrapper team up like never before - as Devastator!" [like never before! *snicker*] It also has an image of Devastator's CGI animation model with little arrows pointing to the "Rampage component," "Mixmaster component,"... Knowing no more than anyone else, I'd say the guidebooks and the toy are simply showing you what happens when Devastator is formed from Scavenger, Mixmaster, Hightower, Scrapper, Rampage and Long Haul (and maybe Overload) - it doesn't mean that's the only form he CAN take, but it means that's the form he DOES take in the movie - the "he could be formed other ways) simply explains why there are other apparent Constructicons (red Rampage, potentially Demolishor) who aren't part of Devastator-as-we've-seen-him. -LV 12:32, 17 June 2009 (EDT)

It's most likely Rampage. Both Scavenger and Demolishor have red faces. We've not seen Scavenger's robot mode in any trailers/tv spots or promo images. --FFN 02:20, 22 June 2009 (EDT)

Some Constructicons in the film share a CGI model, in different colors. Scavenger and Demolishor are an example of this. I'm not sure if all of them have names though...--86.87.28.191 13:43, 22 June 2009 (EDT)

Is there some spoiler-related reason why nobody's clarified this yet? Because if it would help you to know,

the image most definitely IS Rampage. You never see a yellow Rampage in the film, and this red one is explicitly named in a subtitle shortly before he transforms. It's certainly not Scavenger, because we don't get a robot mode for him either.
