Talk:Beast (planet)
I had read from a Battle Beast fan site that, in the catalog that came with the first Battle Beast set (before the Laser Beasts), that it was only recently that the Beasts were at war, and that was only AFTER the Decepticons arrived and teamed up with Alligatron. So, it would be improper to say that they 'just don't get along'

Should the Planet Beest article be called "Beest" or "Beast"? The only time it's ever appeared in any official US fiction was in the Dreamwave Summer Special where it was referred to as "Beest". The pronounciation of the planet's name in Japanese is "bii-su-to" which can be spelled "Beest", and I don't recall ever seeing it written as "Beast" in any official Japanese media. --DrSpengler 22:54, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
- It was spelled Beest when it appeared in a Dreamwave issue, the summer special story, IIRC. It's where Megatron found the Predacons, who'd beem issing sicne forever had had gone feral. -Derik 00:19, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- How did Metronome spell it? I personally hate the 'Beest' spelling.--Jimsorenson 11:57, 5 July 2009 (EDT)
- They used "Beast". - Chris McFeely 12:01, 5 July 2009 (EDT)
- Maybe we should think about moving it then. The pro-world seems to be voting 2:1 ... how do we fans feel about it? --Jimsorenson 12:09, 5 July 2009 (EDT)
- I prefer "Beest", myself. And I think the Dreamwave comic should take precedence over the Metrodome subs. Not to be too harsh, but those subs for Headmasters were horribly inconsistent, that episode ESPECIALLY so (they couldn't decide whether to call him White Leo or Pirate Lion, Gruesome Gator or Alligatron, etc, fluctuating chaotically between names). I'd go with Beest, if I were me. --DrSpengler 12:15, 5 July 2009 (EDT)
- I suppose that's fair. It's also in The Ark books though. Any other opinions on this? --Jimsorenson 11:25, 6 July 2009 (EDT)

It's amazing how much I care about things that apparently even my fellow editors are utterly indifferent to. With one vote for yes and one vote for no, and twice as many pro sources for Beast as Beest, I'm going to go ahead and move this page if there aren't any strenuous objections. --Jimsorenson 10:00, 7 July 2009 (EDT)
- Be my guest. But if you're going to do it, please, go ALL THE WAY and update all the links to "Beest" with "Beast". If there's one thing I hate about moving pages over issues or personal preference like this, it's that the movers tend to just move the page and be done with it and let everybody else worry about fixing all the links. --DrSpengler 10:41, 7 July 2009 (EDT)
