Longview (Movie)
From MediaWiki
- Longview is an Autobot Real Gear Robot from the live-action movie continuity family.
Longview is one of many small robots who was once a normal machine brought to life by the power of the All Spark. Not only has he got super-duper eyes for which to spy on Decepticons, but apparently he can predict the future! He's just that smart.

Fiction

Longview was held as a prisoner of war in an automated Decepticon outpost on Cybertron, some time prior to the All Spark's launch into space. He was rescued by a team of raw Autobot recruits being trained by Ironhide. Transformers Comic issue 5
Of course, this could be a different robot who coincidentally looks like Longview, what with the being not tiny and not born on Earth. Easter Eggs can really be something of a headache sometimes.

- Longview (Real Gear Robots, 2007)
- Japanese ID number: MA-08
- Longview transforms into a set of yellow non-functioning binoculars. While he is constructed to allow light to shine all they way from the lens to the eyepiece, the image is way too small and blurry to see much of anything. He features a flip-up/down panel that reveals a viewscreen; the Hasbro version shows Cybertron Crumplezone in assault-vehicle mode (though upside-down), while the Takara version has Bumblebee's head and shoulders. Like all Real Gear Robots toys, his robot mode is supposedly at 1:1 scale.
- This mold was also used to make Farsight T-20.
- Robo Recon Team (Multi-pack, 2007)
- Longview was also available in a Wal-Mart exclusive two-pack with Spy Shot 6. Both toys are identical to their individual releases.
Notes
- The appearance of Crumplezone in the Hasbro Longview's imager is evidence of the Real Gear Robots' original release plan as late-series additions to the Cybertron toyline.
