Why does this guy have accented pronunciation cues in his article name? And why doesn't Hōli have them?

Because "Pīpō" is a Japanese word. And "Holi" is whatever the fuck it's supposed to be (a pun on "police", apparently). —Interrobang 19:08, 30 July 2009 (EDT)

OK, back to the original question. I was under the impression that if a Japanese character didn't have an English name the wiki went with a straight-up romanization of the Japanese, which would mean Pīpō and Hōrī. The exception being that the English-Malay dub doesn't count as an English name because... the dub was off-the-wall, or because the dub wasn't intended for western audiences or something.
