Wait. I thoguht Abel was Chrome's friend, not Fortress'. Doesn't this tie in with Jack and the bomb and more Chromedome angst bullshit? --M Sipher

Avil was the one killed in the flashback, not the one totured to death blown up in the present, and yes, he was Chrome's friend not Fortress's. I reserve the possibility that maybe Able is a seperate character from the manga witha parallel stoy or soemething... ? -Derik

Ok, I'm embarassed. I was conflating that flashback with the one from Four Million Year Old Veil of Mystery, which was Fortress and had a lot of death, but not that one. :P sorry about that.
