Skids (Movie)
| This article is about the non-screen character from the 2007 movie franchise. For the on-screen Revenge of the Fallen character, see Skids (ROTF). For a list of other meanings, see Skids (disambiguation). |
- Skids is an Autobot from the live-action movie continuity family.

Skids is "sensitive" and "introspective", which a polite way of saying he's chronically absent-minded.
It's not like Skids is dumb—he's is frighteningly smart—but the need to follow any thought that catches his curiosity is so all-consuming that it's a struggle to keep his mind on the road while driving, and accidents are a common occurrence. His comrades suspect his constant daydreaming is a sort of coping mechanism to avoiding thinking about the dreadful war consuming their people.
But combined with below-average strength and a rickety vehicle mode, Skids is more of a liability than an asset in a fight.

Skids used to spar with his fellow Autobot Camshaft. He wasn't very good at it, but he was still better than Class Alpha or Class Beta drones. The Reign of Starscream #3
Merchandise
- Skids (3D Battle-Card, 2007)
- A 26-point "common" character in the 3D Battle-Card Game's "Energon Wars" expansion, Skids "transforms" into a grey pickup truck of indeterminate make. He uses the same parts layout as Ironhide and Dropkick.
Notes
- Reign of Starscream writer Chris Mowry has gone on the record saying that the Skids name-drop was not referencing the Revenge of the Fallen character, but a distinct live-action continuity Skids. [1]
- According to the Battle-Card, he is equipped with a LN2 Cryo Rifle, an Electron Blaster, and a Rocket Launcher, similar to Generation 1 Skids. (Generation 1 references in the movie universe? How absurd.)
