Speedstream (G2)

Speedstream is the leader of the Autobot Aquaspeeders from the "Generation 1.5" section of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Courageous and wise, Speedstream believes in taking the fight to the Decepticons and isn't afraid to admit it. It's these qualities that have made him such a popular and well-respected commander when he leads the Aquaspeeders into battle. Apparently.

Generation 1 & 2

Speedstream transforms into an blue and white Indy style race car. His front half is covered in temperature-sensitive paint, changing colour when hit with warm water. His weapon is a single-barreled water pistol formed from his car-mode spoiler/engine.

He was only available in various European, Australian and New Zealand markets during the "transitional" period where the toys bore the new Generation 2 faction symbols, but the packaging had not yet gained the new sub-franchise name.

This mold was also used to make the Generation 2 Decepticon Color Changer Deluge.

Notes

• Speedstream seems to have been deprived of his only appearance in Transformers fiction by a typo. The error-ridden text story "Day of the Decepticons" mentions Slipstream, a character not found in any other media, instead.
