Grindcore loves noise. Back home on Cybertron, he loved the noise of everyone's alt modes and the Shock Pop he enjoyed so much in his home city of Vos. Here on Earth, heavy metal seems to be his favorite. When he works on various construction projects, it is impossible to not hear him, as his alt modes motor runs loud.
Rock on, buddy. Rock on.

Soon after, strange aliens from the Eshems Nebula attacked, reducing much of Metrotitan to rubble. Defiance issue 1 In the aftermath, he was present at a meeting called by Optimus, who explained Megatron's demand for compulsory military service and a new mission of war against all of Cybertron's enemies. As the situation worsened, Grindcore was in charge of the Burthov launch site, removing debris from the earlier battle. However, Optimus' followers were soon branded traitors and civil war erupted across Cybertron. Toys
Transformers (2007)

- Grindcore (Deluxe Class, 2008)
- Accessories: Launcher, missile, Autobot Cybertron-type Cyber Planet Key
- A Wal-Mart exclusive, Grindcore is a redeco of Cybertron Landmine, transforming into a green wheeled front loader with a rear-mounted pile driver. His bucket shovel can be raised up and down, while his gimmick is unusual in that the Cyber Planet Key slot is in his rear wheels. To configure him into attack mode, one flips up the rear wheels (there are smaller wheels to support the rear end of the vehicle to compensate), inserts the Cyber Key into the wheel-hub slots and twists, deploying blades around the circumference of each tire.
- This mold was also used to make BotCon 2006's Dawn of Future's Past Rhinox, and Grindcore's toy itself was later repurposed as "Shattered Glass" Scoop.
Trivia
- According to Hasbro designer Joe Kyde's design notes on Hasbro's Transformers website, Japanese Micromaster Crush-Bull was the inspiration for Grindcore.
