Talk:Umbral Blaster
From MediaWiki
I don't see how the name implies much of anything, and I don't think there is a basis for saying it's likely as powerful as the Requiem Blaster. In fact, I'd say it's more likely less powerful, given that the Requiem Blaster was a legendary weapon and one of the three keys needed to wake Unicron. --KilMichaelMcC 13:41, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
I concur. I think the current article is overstated. --Steve-o 15:13, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
- agreed re: the Requiem Blaster. I think the speculation about Dark energy is fair tho. (Umbra being darkest shadow.)
- Of course,f or all we know, the Umbra Blaster is a glorified Black Beam Gun, but that doesnt' really have much 'blast' to it, now would it?
- Categorizing recolor mini-cons combiners is a pain. In Armada, therte were 4 mini-con combiners. 3 were legendary weapons that awakened Unicron. The 4th (perceptor) seemed to form a pshychic godhead... or something. The point is, they're all REALLY IMPORTANT, seemingly by categoy.
- ...and the recolors just... aren't.
- (No, wait, the Magna-wing wasnt' anything special, was it?)
- Ultimately IF ANYTHING, I'd like point out in italics; Attempting to compare the Umbra Blaster to Requiem Blaster fraught, because not even the Requiem Blaster compares tot he Requiem Blaster- the Mini-Cons lost their Phenomenal Godlike Powers after Armada, and now have Merely Reasonable Demigodlike Powers. -Derik 15:28, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
The Bios state that the Minicon team is among the most powerful of them all, but it is admittedly a bit of an interpretation to assume that the combined blaster is therefore one of the most powerful weapons of all. Of course, that would break a trend, wouldn't it? - Vanguard
- Good point. I suggest a combined note that the Umbra team is among the most powerful mini-cons teams- but that probbaly doesnt' approach the godlike levels seen in Armada 'cuz the mini-cons lost their powers. -Derik 15:54, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
