Hubcap has a long rivalry with Brimstone, one that Brimstone is all too aware of. Hubcap disapproves of the way Brimstone bullies others, and the Autobots' efforts to counter Brimstone have resulted in several battles. Now that they're on Earth, Hubcap, who considers himself the new "king of the road," has decided to end Brimstone's behavior once and for all.

Hubcap transforms into a 1930s hot rod. His feet appear to be based upon the iconic foot design of the Japanese mecha franchise Gundam.

Like most toys in the Transformers (2010) toyline, Hubcap features a standard Autobot insignia rather than the live-action movie style Autobot insigna.
