The name or term "Rollbar" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Rollbar (disambiguation).
Rollbar is an Autobot from the Revenge of the Fallen franchise portion of the live-action film continuity family.
"Damn it Dead End you greedy bastard, you've got your own profile pic!"

Rollbar never used to display much initiative, but his superiors know he can be counted on to follow orders: whatever the task and whatever the situation, he'll do it to the best of his ability and with clear professionalism. He's a skilled navigator and, while he's freaked at the idea of leadership and wants no truck with it, he has a good grasp of tactics and his commanders have been known to rely on his advice.

On Earth, in the aftermath of the Fallen's defeat, Rollbar's even found some initiative at long last: he's going to prove himself as a true Autobot!

We show them what we can do. And keep showin' 'em!

Fiction

Titan Magazines Revenge of the Fallen comics

A new and eager recruit on Earth, Rollbar was sent on a survival exercise in Death Valley with Jolt and Dune Runner. He was the only one not grumpy about it, and shrugged off Dune Runner's apathy with a declaration that they were going to prove themselves. It was his research that led the cadets to the target of their exercise: an abandoned ghost town with an emergency recharge pack left in it.

Unfortunately, just as they were running low on fuel, the decomposing Dead End launched an attack! Jolt was injured and Rollbar had to be ordered to leave him and assist Dune Runner instead... but his efforts failed, and he was taken down and would have been ripped to pieces if Jolt hadn't used the recharge pack to put Dead End down. After that battle, Dune Runner wanted to execute the Decepticon but Rollbar forbid it: cadets or not, they were Autobots and they were going to show mercy. Under his guidance, they took Dead End back to Diego Garcia and Ratchet was able to save his life. The medic told Rollbar and his fellows that in his book, their act of mercy showed they had what it takes! Spare Parts!

Later, the cadets were trained by Springer, a veteran with a reputation for being a monster. They spent some time under him before Jolt requested they were given live combat exercises; Rollbar was shocked that Jolt dared do this, and that Springer agreed without hurting him, but Jolt just pointed out the soldier's reputation was clearly exaggerated. Later, Springer used them in a mission to rescue hostages while he engaged Tankor; Rollbar was the first into the occupied Alamo, using detonators to weaken the wall for Dune Runner. Revenge of the Fallen Rollbar transforms into a delivery van of probably-made-up model. His deco is a pretty unmistakable reference to the Red Bull energy drink. He has little to no gimmickry whatsoever. Come to think of it, he kind of looks like Optimus Prime because of his head sculpt with the face plate and the molded windows on his chest.
This mold was also used to make Wideload.
