This character or person needs some sort of visual representation. If you have one, please replace this.

Alexander Holt is a opportunistic United States senator. He has ambitions to become the President of the United States.

Fiction

IDW comics continuity

Alexander Holt met with General Deacon about American troop deployments in the Gulf region. Senator Holt feared that troop withdraws from the area would adversely affect the oil company that funds his office. The General reassured him that instability in the area is good for business and that the US military was there for the long term. Unbeknownst to Senator Holt, General Deacon had been replaced by a Decepticon facsimile. Runabout was nearby and secretly tagged the Senator as a "primary target".

Megatron ordered Skywarp and Thundercracker to bomb the El Jira Power Plant, providing that instability. Senator Holt was later seen on TV being interviewed by Arcee Arthur and advocating US involvement. Escalation issue 2

Deacon's facsimile later attended an emergency session of the National Security Council regarding sightings of a UFO crashing into the Gulf of Mexico. He was pulled out of the meeting by a phone call from Senator Holt. Deacon's facsimile agreed with Senator Holt that Alpha-Scenario should proceed as planned. Devastation issue 3

Notes

  • Since the events of Devastation, the continuity has been taken in a new directions, so we are not likely to learn more about Senator Holt's presidential ambitions or the mysterious Alpha-Scenario.
  • Runabout's tagging him as a "primary target" may have indicated they wanted to replace him with a facsimile, but that was never revealed. Afterwards, he still seems to be being handled by General Deacon, which wouldn't make much sense if they were both in on the Decepticons' plans.
