Vice Grip
- Vice Grip is a Predacon in the Beast Wars portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Among Megatron's band of Predacon lunatics, Vice Grip is an abberation. He is inerringly loyal to his leader, completely dependable, and puts his all into every mission he is assigned. There is little with which to find fault in Vice Grip. Even the most lecherous of Predacons under Megatron's command has respect for him.

When Packrat and Onyx Primal found a Predacon "plot device" artifact, Vice Grip and Fractyl attacked them, but were defeated when Silverbolt and Rattrap arrived. The two flew off to go have a drink and tell filthy jokes to each other.
Reaching the Omega Point
Though Vice Grip never appeared in the Omega Point storyline proper, it may have had significant effects on his history. His presence on BW-era Earth is a continuity snag: BW show characters interact with and treat him as though he were a regular teammate, even though he was conspicuously absent from the very tightly-written show with its small cast. It strains credibility to suggest that he was "just off-camera" the whole time. However, if his presence was the result of the corrupt Shokaract timeline, then when that timeline was erased at Point Omega, his history would've been rewritten such that he was never part of the Beast Wars. Whether he would've been a protoform instead or back on Cybertron or elsewhere is unclear. Nonetheless, it's the quickest and simplest explanation for his nonexistence on the BW show.

To help Arcee out of her depression, Fractyl mentioned the painful loss of his friend. It is possible that this was Vice Grip, though that makes the most sense only if their time in the Beast Wars was preserved post-Shokaract.

Beast Wars
- Vice Grip (Basic, 1998)
- Vice Grip was a BotCon 1998 exclusive toy. A blue and gray redeco of Powerpinch, he transforms into an earwig. His insect-mode tail becomes a hand-weapon with snapping pincers.
- This mold was also used to make Beast Wars II Scissor Boy.
- Vice Grip came in a clear plastic baggy with a tech spec card, one of the few convention toys to be sold in that manner. Attendee feedback indicated that the majority preferred the toys to have more impressive packaging, even though this meant higher prices.
