Talk:Transformers: Generations (toyline)
Can we get a source on Blurr coming in a future wave? I thought that was an April Fool's joke. --Anon, 10:42, 26 April 2010

War for Cybertron
I don't know how much this means, but if you click on "War for Cybertron toys" on Hasbro's War for Cybertron page it brings up the whole first wave of Generations. I doubt that this in itself pulls Drift and Thrust into the Transformers: Prime continuity family, but I suppose there is a small chance that this is the direction Hasbro is going. - Starfield 21:05, 1 July 2010 (EDT)
- It means nothing. --ItsWalky 21:09, 1 July 2010 (EDT)
Launch Date
-Have the toys hit retail yet? I havn't seen them anywhere, but the page doesn't say Wave 1 is "scheduled for release" anymore.--Megatron Prime 12:25, 22 July 2010 (EDT)
- One can order them on Walmart.com, thus why there isn't the 'scheduled for release' template for Wave 1. Looking forward to them being sold at actual stores. - Zadok Rox 13:08, 22 July 2010 (EDT)
- They ARE being sold at actual stores. ---Blackout- 13:32, 22 July 2010 (EDT)
- Depends on where you are. Around here (NC) stores tend to be about 2 months behind NY/CA in getting things. --Khajidha 13:51, 22 July 2010 (EDT)
- My local Walmart seems to have many Wave 4 ROTF Deluxe toys left. Back on topic; thank you, Blackout, for sharing. Looking forward to seeing them at stores in my neck of the woods. - Zadok Rox 14:26, 22 July 2010 (EDT)

-When is wave 2 coming out?
Speaking of Wave 2, it seems to me that Drift and Thrust are not part of Wave 1. WFC Optimus and Bumblebee have been at stores for about a month, but I havn't seen the former two.--Megatron Prime 12:12, 27 August 2010 (EDT)
- This is because Toys R Us got an advance WFC-only case to promote WFC when WFC came out. --ItsWalky 13:26, 27 August 2010 (EDT)
-I think Dirge and Blurr will be released by this christmas, as they weren't included in Cybertroncon's "Spring 2011" transformers, but they didn't mention Reflector or Cliffjumper did they?
- Dirge and Blurr are being shipped by BigBadToyStore right now. --ItsWalky 21:05, 24 September 2010 (EDT)
Other "Generations-like" packaged toys
There's a bunch of toys that are in Generations-like packaging that don't say Generations on it: the new Seacons set, the dollar-store Classics Mini-Con redecos, the ROTF Activators (and probably other stuff I've forgotten). Should we place them under Generations here and in their individual articles? --FFN 18:40, 8 August 2010 (EDT)
- Thanks for the total lack of comments, guys. Good hustle. --FFN 08:57, 14 August 2010 (EDT)
- Just put them under the subtitle-less toyline. If they were meant to be in Generations, they would have it on their boxes. —Interrobang 09:03, 14 August 2010 (EDT)
- Here's one - Masterpiece Grimlock is in a subtitle-less Generations style red packaging, but Hasbro's presentation slides (from Toy Fair, I believe) place him in Universe. --FFN 09:25, 14 August 2010 (EDT)

War for Cybertron toys
"* Clicking "War For Cybertron Toys" on Hasbro's War For Cybertron webpage brings up the whole "Generations" toyline. Looking for War For Cybertron toys? Here you go." It also brings up some PCC toys. Hasbro just loves messing with us. --Khajidha 10:41, 26 September 2010 (EDT)
Kup
Is Kup confirmed enough for inclusion on the page? With the picture on the battle in space 2 pack, it seems compleatly comfirmed.--Fredbob 19:38, 3 October 2010 (EDT)
- Not until it's officially announced. --NCZ 19:39, 3 October 2010 (EDT)
- Pretty sure he was officially announced at BotCon. --ItsWalky 19:56, 3 October 2010 (EDT)
- Not really. They were vague in that Hasbro way at best. And it's not like G1 guys don't get fictional redesigns with frequency. --M Sipher 20:32, 3 October 2010 (EDT)
- I don't think going "cough cough KUP cough cough" in answer to "which guys coming out can you not talk about" in front of hundreds of people is vague at all. --ItsWalky 20:47, 3 October 2010 (EDT)
- Well, I didn't know that. I suppose I'd wait until slightly more solid confirmation, but I guess I admit defeat for now. --NCZ 20:49, 3 October 2010 (EDT)
- I would suggest holding off on adding Kup until we're sure which toyline he'll be part of: Generations, Transformers (2010 toyline), or possibly something else (which most likely would be improbable since the main part of 2011 would focus on the third movie). Just want to spare everyone the trouble of cutting and pasting from one article to another like what was done for Special Ops Jazz and Turbo Tracks. - Zadok Rox 21:09, 3 October 2010 (EDT)
- I agree with this. --ItsWalky 21:11, 3 October 2010 (EDT)

Gen 2 Optimus Prime
I know that Gen 2 Optimus has been announced, but he wasn't declared a 'Generations' toy, was he? I know I listed him as such on the G1 Optimus Prime toy article, but there's a possibility that I might have jumped the gun (like what was done with Special Ops Jazz). That's why I removed him from the list on this article (after adding him the day before). Meanwhile, I'll leave the Prime toy page as is until there's verification. - Zadok Rox 11:24, 16 October 2010 (EDT)
- I hate how Hasbro is handling this! They have separate toylines and separate fictions, but the toylines don't match up to the fictions! ARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why couldn't "Transformers" just be movie line figures and "Generations" non-movie line figures? (Sidebar- Why do retailers seem to think that movie toys are a better sales bet than non-movie toys? OTHER than TFs and Star Wars EVERY movie line seems to clog shelves for years! The two Hulk toy lines were taking up tons of space on shelves right next to each other!) Okay, end of ranting. --Khajidha 11:32, 16 October 2010 (EDT)
- I would imagine that retailers think to seem Transformers movie toys are a better sales bet than non-movie Transformers toys because they very very obviously are. --ItsWalky 11:51, 16 October 2010 (EDT)
- Especially after the huge demands for Transformers toys that lead to empty shelves in 2007. - Zadok Rox 11:58, 16 October 2010 (EDT)

Shouldn't Tracks, Jazz et al at least get a mention in the article
I know Hasbro ain't exactly making this easy for us with their confusing brand nomenclature, but shoudn't we making it easy for ourselves? I know this is simlar to the Kup and G2 Prime points above, but we currently do know how Jazz and Tracks are coming. They are obviously CHUG in design, though not in brand. They deserve a mention in the article. I would do it myself right now, but the more anankastic among us would automatically click the undo button and I couldn't be arsed wasting the effort in that particular style of edit war.
