The micro-bug is a technology from the cartoon portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The micro-bug is a Cybertronian technology used for covert spying. It consists of a small camera lens and an internal antenna capable of streaming live video across large distances.

Ravage planted one on Bumblebee under cover of a fight while the Autobot was taking a polarizer back to Autobot HQ. The bug then proceeded to relay sensitive information about Wheeljack's new invention back to Decepticon Headquarters, cluing Megatron in to the device's existence. The Decepticons then stole the Wheeljack Instant Immobilizer and used it against the Autobots. The micro-bug was never seen again after that. Perhaps it's still stuck to Bumblebee. The Immobilizer
