Spastic is a redeco of Leadfoot, transforming into futuristic race car and a torso mode for his four Stunticon drones to combine with. The Stunticons automatically transform from vehicles to limbs using Automorph Technology when clipped onto Spastic, and when detached, they transform back to vehicle mode. Like all Commanders, Spastic is also compatible with Mini-Cons.

• Spastic's solicitation at online toy stores caused a storm of controversy in the Transformers fandom due to the word "spastic" being used in the United Kingdom, Australia, and some other regions as a very derogatory word for people suffering from neurological disorders. The controversy even spread outside of the fandom to tabloid newspapers and even radio and TV comedians. The term has little pejorative impact in North America; when questioned, a Hasbro representative admitted to the company being unaware of the offensive connotation of the word in other countries, and that they had meant no offense by it. It was also noted that toy would not be made available via retail channels in Europe, including the United Kingdom. Nonetheless, Eric Siebenaler confirmed soon after that "Spastic" would indeed be getting a name change; perhaps a consequence of the fact that while Hasbro UK may not be selling it themselves, some UK retail chains have imported previous Power Core Combiner assortments directly from Hasbro US, and could unwittingly do the same with this one.
