Mother Computer
- The Master Computer is a device in the Beast Wars II portion of the Beast Era.
Buried deep underground in a ruined city on the planet Gaea you will find the Master Computer, a towering monolith which stands testament to all the accomplishments of its mysterious creators... and all of their folly. Is it good or evil? None can say. It is at best "lethally misguided." Despite millennia of disuse, it still functions... unfortunately. The Master Computer throbs with Angolmois energy,
*ahem* What hands wrought this most mysterious of artifacts? Humans? Celestials? The Lazalt aliens? Some hitherto-unknown species of smartly-dressed robots? The world may never know.
It is totally not Skynet.
Fiction
Beast Wars II cartoon
Galbaturon followed traces of Angolmois energy and discovered the Master Computer. He directly iterfaced with it and demanded it show him the most powerful forms in the planet's history; it imprinted the templates for a drilltank and a massive dragon on him, but the strain put Galvatron into a deep slumber. Megastorm, using a more standard computer interface, requested specifications for weapons and construction vehicles suited to Gaea for the other Predacons to use. Starscream and BB captured Lio Convoy and brought him to the Master Computer site, but he escaped and chased the Predacons off. White Lion, Run!
Much later as the artificial planet Nemesis passed by a Mars-like planet, an adorable flying saucer emerged and headed for Gaea. It contacted the Maximals and flirted with NAVI in order to make them take it to the Master Computer. Once there it entered into the computer and activated a doomsday program designed to crash the moon into planet Gaea. Emissary of the Fourth Planet
With the help of the Predacon Galvatron the Maximals were able to break through the Master Computer's defenses, allowing NAVI to enter the computer herself and convince it to deactivate the doomsday program. The moon's descent was halted just in time (albeit leaving the satellite in a much closer orbit than it had been.) The Crisis of Planet Gaea
