Talk:Celestial

The final few episodes of the anime establish that Artemis and Moon are dimensionally displaced (or something) and appear only as ghostly images that rarefied souls like LioJunior and LioConvoy can see.
Since Moon's BW Sourcebook entry has him as a non-dimensionally-displaced robot, I posit that 'excommunicate' must mean "kicked him out of their dimension/down to the mortal plane." This seems a straightforward reading, so unless someone objects in a bit I'm going to edit the article to reflect the idea. -Derik 16:56, 15 February 2011 (EST)
- I fear your use of "or something" in this description gives me pause. - Chris McFeely 17:08, 15 February 2011 (EST)
- When Moon went down to Gaea to warn the Maximals, he was shown as a see-through figure which no one could see. He finally suceeded in catching LioJuniour's attention-- though at first LJ wasn't sure he'd actually seen him-- like a ghost he had to pay attention to in order to bring into his conscious awareness.
- Additionally Moon was affected by the environment around him (thrown around when a stray shot exploded the landscape, etc) which is more akin to how (I gather) someone would react if they'd been temporally displaced as in BW: The Gathering. Thus my 'dimensionally displaced... or something' comment. In the article itself I would probably simply say 'another plane which is imperceptible to...'
- (IMO, the series was playing them like spirits or Angels. "Another plane of existence" might be the best bet; it meshes well w/ the Celestial name and 'excommunicate' without actually committing to anything.)
- Does this information address your concerns-mu? -Derik 17:22, 15 February 2011 (EST)
- I know you don't understand Japanese. I'm aware that making up bullshit from nothing is your tendency, but you are seriously overreaching your boundaries here. —Interrobang 19:34, 15 February 2011 (EST)
- Cool! Did you hear that everybody? Interrobang volunteered to tell us what the episode actually says! You're a good man Interrobang, I don't care what anybody says! -Derik 20:17, 15 February 2011 (EST)
