Du Hoit is a high-ranking mercenary, in charge of a small number of mercenary forces guarding a site housing dam construction materials alongside the Zambezi River. He is fluent in both English and Afrikaans and tends to mix the two languages together. He and his men share their work with Zambian army forces under Major Ghiwa.

The events of The Veiled Threat take place during IDW Publishing's Alliance comic.

As the Human Accessory Force together with Macerator attacked the site, du Hoit yelled out a warning to Ghiwa. Ghiwa suggested that du Hoit's men try to get around behind Macerator. It's likely du Hiot and his men perished during the following battle. The Veiled Threat
