In order to obtain oil from under the jungles of Peru, Megatron and Soundwave created tunnels that would bring water from the Pacific Ocean under the oil layers and force it to the surface. However, the first tunnel they drilled was badly planned and collapsed, taking with it the part of the Andes Mountains that housed the ancient city of Mato Grosso.
