And so begin, the Great Adventure!
Synopsis
It turned out Gung Ho's warp engine was activated by the Black Ball, which, in twist, was able to talk. During the warp, the Black Ball told the Maximals about the Angolmois capsules, which were totally seven and originated from the final conflict between Lio Convoy and Galvatron on the Nemesis. Upon hearing Lio Convoy's name, Big Convoy felt a little confused, since the name sounded familiar yet he had no memory about it.
After the ship warped out, the Maximal learned they were approaching the planet Sandron — only to encounter the Predacon flagship Dinosaur. The rookies started to panic and suggested they should fight against the Predacon immediately, except for Heinrad, who replied there were no powerful weapon for a trainee ship in calms. Big Convoy quickly got to the driver seat and turned the ship away just before the Dinosaur began to firing at the Gung Ho. Big Convoy ordered the rookies to board the escape pots and land on the planet, assuring he would be fine. After the rookies escaped, they watched the ship got hit and exploded.
The Predacon was happy to see the destruction of the Maximal ship, but Magmatron thought those Maximal couldn't be killed so easily. He then ordered the Predacons to land on the planet to search any Maximal survivor to kill them and retrieve the capsule. Dead End volunteered for the task because he wanted to fight the famous one-man army, Big Convoy.
After landing on the planet, the Maximals began to search the capsule. They find the capsule after seeing a mirage. However, soon after retrieving the capsule, they were confronted by Dead End, who was disappointed to learn Big Convoy wasn't there. Dead End beat the Maximals with ease, except for Cohrada, who showed up from the sand and fought the Predacon after everyone was knocked down. Cohrada told the others that he would stay to stall the enemy so they could flee the scene.
Meanwhile, it turned out that Gung Ho was just damaged and landed on one of the asteroids around Sandron. Big Convoy told NAVI to switch off the smoking device used to fake the ship's destruction. While they were repairing the ship, Big Convoy asked NAVI to search the record of Lio Convoy. After seeing the records, Big Convoy learned Lio Convoy, a rookie commander, was missing in action. Big Convoy asked NAVI if he and Lio Convoy had served together in any unit while NAVI told him they didn't, making Big Convoy more confusing.
Big Convoy then decided to enter Sandron's atmosphere to find the rookies. NAVI tried to convince him go with equipments while Big Convoy replied "I have a thick fur." before went into actions.
Back to the battle on Sandron, Cohrada attacked Dead End fiercely. Despite unharmed, Dead End was in passive and a bit inferiority until he fired one of his shells that he used to guard against Cohrada's "shadowless kick". Cohrada destroyed the shell, but Dead End then knocked him down immediately. Dead End was satisfied to meet such a fierce warrior. Meanwhile, the rest of the Maximal ran into Sling, who demanded the capsule.
Just before Dead End was about to finish Cohrada while Sling was about to attack the rookies, they suddenly got bombarded by Big Convoy with his Big Cannon from a high altitude. Dead End was happy to see Big Convoy finally, only to receive the retreat order because the flag ship sensed some potential threat beneath the sand. He retreated unwilling, while Sling felt relieved because he was nearly killed.
After reunited with the rookie, Big Convoy put the wounded Cohrada on his shoulder and ordered the Maximal ready to return. However, it was too late because the next menace was coming...

Quotes
"Who else can be more adaptive in a desert than a reptilian guy?"
- —Cohrada to Break, who is worried about him, before fighting Dead End.
"Don't worry, I have a thick fur."
- —Big Convoy to NAVI, before he enters Sandron's atmosphere without any equipment.
"Argh!"
- NAVI, with hands on waist, feels Big Convoy is too reckless because of the above action.
Notes
- According to a conversation between Big Convoy and NAVI, Big Convoy is actually older than Lio Convoy due to Lio Convoy's time travelling to the past in the Beast Wars II and Neo comic continuity. Big Convoy refers Lio Convoy as "a rookie Convoy" after reading his profile, but without any belittling.
- Big Convoy can survive atmospheric reentry without getting burnt. Big Convoy claims it is because his thick fur can protect him.
- Firing the shell is the gimmick of Dead End's toys.
- Big Convoy fires his cannon at two enemies on different from high altitude. This is similar to Overload's tactic when he launch an attack from the top of Qomolangma in "Decepticons' Great Counterattack!".
Real-word references
- The planet Sandron looks like a pyramid.
- Cohrada's special move that features rapid kicks for mutiple times seems to be a reference to the Shadowless Kick as seen in various Kung-fu films. This move later can be seen used by Optimus Prime against Megatron in a flashback in Beast Wars Metals manga.
- The Dinosaur has some sort of transporting device to teleport Predacon soldiers.
