When the Transformers caused their first ruckus upon waking up in 1984, Nicholas hoped it wasn't "that big green, fire-snortin' lizard" again. Prisoner of War!
It doesn't appear that the two ever actually looked into what was going on in Oregon at all. Or if they did, they sure didn't do anything about it.

- Transformers Animated: The AllSpark Almanac II featured a crossword clue "Big green, fire-snortin' lizard that menaces Col Fury", filling out the rest of Nicholas's name and rank.
- The answer to the clue was "Godzilla".
- Col. Fury has been voiced by a few Transformers voice actors such as Jack Angel in Spiderman: The Animated Series, then by Jim Byrnes in X:Men Evolution and by David Kaye who did the voice of Nick Fury in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2,.
- The Ultimate version of Nick Fury (Who is African-American) were voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson in The Super Hero Squad Show, and Dave Fennoy the Ultimate: Spider-Man game and the Battle for New York DS Game.
