Jake (Animorphs)
From MediaWiki
| The name or term "Jake" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Jake (disambiguation). |

Though Jake gets scared, he'll never show it, as the other Animorphs look to him to be the leader of their group. A task that he views as somewhat of a burden. He hopes that his tiger morph will give him the courage he needs to topple the yeerk invasion before it's too late. He is also fond of morphing into a Grizzly Bear, as the Grizzly feels no fear. Another known form in his morph arsenal is that of a stingray. At some point, he and his fellow Animorphs Cassie and Marco broke into a Yeerk genetic experimentation lab, and gained the ability to merge, through the use of an advanced morphing technique, to become the colossal Tri-Rex.
Toys
Animorphs

- Jake/Tiger (Deluxe, 1999)
- Accessories: Left paw, right paw
- Part of the first wave of Animorphs toys, Jake transforms from a really unconvincing human into a tiger, as well as a transitional third mode combining features from both. His tiger mode front claws, dubbed "Saber Claws," are separate pieces that attach like gloves.
- This toy was retooled and redecoed to create Ax/Panther (the only retool in the line).
- Jake/Grizzly Bear (Mega, 1999)
- Accessories: Left paw, right paw
- Jake's second toy transforms from a marginally better human into a grizzly bear that looks familiar, as well as a transitional third mode combining features from both - this mode has a head that looks a lot more like a pig than a man/bear.
- His bear mode front claws, dubbed "Attack Claws," are separate pieces that attach like gloves.

- Tri-Rex (Super, 1999)
- This version of Jake was available only in the Tri-Rex giftset, along with Marco and Cassie. The toy has neither a human mode nor a complete animal mode; Jake transforms from a human/dinosaur transitional form into the head, neck, and foreams of Tri-Rex.
- Jake Stingray/Manta (Deluxe)

- The fourth Jake toy transformed from a human with fins on his knees and most of a stingray growing out of his back into a stingray. The stingray chest and tail were removable.
- Although it was planned, this toy was never released in the United States. Because its planned release would have been near the end of the line, this led to a popular perception that it was never released at all.
Notes
- Jake's packaging art for his tiger mold is based on the actor that portrayed him in the Animorphs television series, Shawn Ashmore. For his bear mold, a photograph of the actor was used instead.
