Talk:Animation error
Thundercracker and Skywarp on coronation
[edit]
This scene is Really weird. There are Thundercrakers, Skywarps, and Insecticons. I don't know it is an animation error or a palette swap because there are 3 Insecticons who should have been tossed into outer space and reformed. Unless they are generics who were often seen in the Decepticon army throughout 2006. If they really are generics, maybe this is not an animation error. Hmmm...... this scene is really controversial --TX55 10:53, September 12 2007 (UTC)
the Insecticons and the Seekers (Jets) all have clones - in fact the Insecticons show up on Junkion in the movie (they attack Dannel), the Seekers all get eaten by Unicron at the end of the movie as he attacks Cybertron
Gallery Size/Organization
[edit]I am unsure about the size of this gallery, and the organization of the images is pretty haphazard. We can't document every mistake of the G1 cartoon - there were a lot of them - but I like the general idea of this page, and think it could be expanded to include other shows. Dividing the images by series/season would be a good start, and maybe deciding on some parameters... do we need two shots that show the same type of error, like somebody where they shouldn't be, etc. --Monzo 06:15, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm, I don't we should upload ALL of the errors, either. The amount shoud be enough by far. Also, dividing the images by series/season or sorting the errors (by "mis-colored", "wrong size", "same person repeat show up in the scene", "wrong faction"...etc) would be a good idea. I've been going through my collection of season 1 and season 2 cartoon images for additional error images to use in this article... I feel season 2 is under-represented and too much is used from Carnage In C Minor. I'm not suggesting we use all of what I've dug up, of course, but if one of the pictures represents an error better than one of the current images, I'm all for making replacements.
Season 1
MTMTE pt3 - Autobot Soundwave
SOS Dinobots - solid blue Optimus
Season 2
City of Steel - giant Constructicons
Desertion of the Dinobots pt1 - tiny Snarl and Sludge
The Secret of Omega Supreme - Sideswipe in Con HQ
Key to Vector Sigma pt2 - bizarre Ironhide waist
Masquerade - giant Ironhide
B.O.T. - armless Megatron
I'm sure I can dig up some non-FFoD/Carnage In C Minor season 3 errors later, too. But any thoughts on this batch? --Monzo 03:04, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
Things that don't exist
[edit]Why is this article part of that "category"? -- SFH 05:06, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
Page format
[edit]Whoah, what happened? Where'd all the images go? I'm not saying we should dump the whole animation error gallery on here, but a page about visual stuff should have a lot of that visual stuff on the actual page. Having individual links for each example is a pain. -- Repowers 06:54, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- Um, I think I understand your point now, since click on the link to see the image would be bothersome. I'll try a new format. :) --TX55 08:04, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
You know...
[edit]...maybe it's just in comparison to the Sunbow cartoon and the horrible localization of the Unicron trilogy, but Animated has very few actual animation errors.
So few in fact, that it seems every day we have to point out to folks editing animated episode summaries that things they think are animation errors are not in fact animation errors but continuity errors or just plain random trivia.--RosicrucianTalk 14:43, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
Beast Wars?
[edit]Are there really that many? I know there's the bit where Rattrap randomly has his pre-Transmetal body in Code of Hero, and it was actually explained away by Mainframe that it was done to ease the animating process or similar, and in the same way, I think it was mentioned that during that big dramatic stand and speech Dinobot gives, they actually made him 40-50 feet tall for the dramatic lighting effects, but are there any that are actual omissions? (the relative scale of the G1 dudes, I guess?) Hooper_X 06:48, 29 April 2009 (EDT)
- A few spring to mind, although they're nearly all from "Nemesis". Rattrap missing his wheels at one point, Dinobot 2's eyepatch dealie on the wrong side, regular TM Cheetor walking by in the background instead of TM2, Optimal Optimus's shoulder/forearm armor appearing and disappearing... there was one time earlier in the series Blackarachnia was missing her spider-legs.... yeah, there's a few in there. - Chris McFeely 07:28, 29 April 2009 (EDT)
- Yeah, sometimes parts were left out or miscolored. It wasn't terribly often, but it happened. --ItsWalky 08:39, 29 April 2009 (EDT)
- See also: Tarantulas missing his spider eyes in "Tangled Web," both Rampage and Silverbolt losing back kibble at various points in "Transmutate".... Rampage actually having Depthcharge's legs in "Nemesis"... --Thylacine 2000 09:42, 29 April 2009 (EDT)
