"Have you met Organizatron? He transforms into a clipboard."

For every Autobot soldier in the field, there are countless support staff back at Autobase, supplying him with equipment, ammunition and intelligence. These technicians specialize in the latter, and report directly to the Wreckers. Called simply the "tech boys" by Emirate Xaaron, Springer doesn't even bother to learn their names.

After a massive explosion in Kalis, Springer demanded to be kept abreast of the situation. He and the other Wreckers were briefed by an unnamed technician and Emirate Xaaron about Flame's underground reactor, but were unable to locate any such structure beneath Autobase and instead had to rely on the skills of the technicians to find it.

Springer faced the wait with little enthusiasm, but when the technicians discovered the location of Flame's base and that there were multiple signals approaching them from below, he didn't know what to do. When a further technician helpfully pointed out that he had picked up a high-frequency radio signal, which he could jam, and that the technicians should probably get out of there if there was going to be fighting, Springer went to pieces, apparently unable to process more than one piece of information at a time.

It wasn't until Flame's robotic zombies burst through the floor and started attacking the tech boys that Springer reacted, but by then it was too late. The undead Transformers had already killed the key technicians and the Wreckers were overwhelmed—though true to tradition, only the generics were actually killed; the regular cast were taken to a nice, cozy cell for a chat with the boss.
