Wasn't his name supposed to be some kind of pun in Japanese? Interrobang 19:30, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

Not his name. His ship's name is a take off on a Japanese nursery rhyme, though. --Monzo 19:37, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Yeah, supposedly it's a pun on "Kuso Convoy", meaning "Crap Convoy" (because he's so damn ugly). In Japanese the names would read "Kurou Konboi" and "kuso Konboi", respectively. Hey, maybe I should add that...--DrSpengler 19:38, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
  • And yeah, his ship's name was also a pun.--DrSpengler 19:39, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
I thought Kuso Convoy was what Break referred to Big Convoy as, unrelated to Crow Convoy. --Monzo 19:41, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
  • He called him that too in the anime. I think it was used both ways. It's posible Kurou/Kuso Convoy sounding similar, and Crow Convoy looking like a pile of crap might just be a coincidence. --DrSpengler 19:44, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
I don't think you should add it until you can be sure of the information. DVD's manga summaries only mention Kuso Convoy in relation to Big Convoy. Here. During the pushups, Break is mentally referring to Big Convoy as Kuso Convoy, which is rather rude. Crap Convoy would be a gentle approximation. --Monzo 19:46, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Oh, I know all about that part. I was reading through those pages today (which is why I uploaded so many pics from his site today). It was just something that sorta "dawned on me" a little while ago, which seems more like a blatant pun. If I add it I'll put a note marking it might just be coincidental. Additionally, it might be some in-your-face irony that his name sounds like "crap" and he's so overly sensative about his deformity. Kinda like someone coincidentilly having a peg-leg and being named "Peggy". --DrSpengler 19:50, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
