David Kaye (born David V. Hope on October 14, 1964) is a Canadian voice actor. Some of his more popular roles include Professor Charles Xavier from X-Men Evolution, Treize Khushrenada from Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Sesshomaru from InuYasha, Captain America and Nick Fury in the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 video game, Clank in the Ratchet and Clank series, Khyber in Ben 10: Omniverse, Recoome in the Ocean Group Studios dub of Dragonball Z, Mysterio in Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions, Superman and Hawkman in DC Super Friends, Commissoner James Gordon in Batman: Arkham City, Cronus from Class of the Titans, Iron Man in Fantastic Four World's Greatest Heroes, Logan Carter in Dead Island, Protoman.EXE in Megaman NT Warrior and Batou in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - The Laughing Man and 2nd GIG Individual Eleven. He's also voiced a certain Decepticon several times. Yeeessssss... He also had done the opening narration and voiced Patrick O'Hara in G.I. Joe: Renegades and doing additional voices in Regular Show and on Dan Vs.
Kaye originally began his voice acting career as a member of the Canadian voice acting union, doing voice over work exclusively in Canada. In 2007, he moved to the US, joining the American voice acting union in LA.

- He is the only voice actor who has voiced both Optimus Prime and Megatron as regular roles.
- Beast Wars Megatron was David's first villainous role. Seems like it suited him just fine, yeeeesss...
- He has lent his voice to seven separate Transformers series, the most for any single TF voice actor.
- Ironically, when auditioning for Beast Wars, Kaye originally read for the role of Optimus Primal while Garry Chalk read for the sinister Megatron.
- Bill Fagerbakke says his mom is hot. This disturbs him. And us.
- He is one of the few original Beast Wars cast members that expresses fondness for Beast Machines.
- Kaye was interviewed as a special feature for Kid Rhino's Beast Machines The Complete Series DVD set, and also on Madman Entertainment's Beast Wars season 3 box set.
- Though he is Canadian, he is the only person in the entire world who has voiced an incarnation of Optimus Prime, Superman, and Captain America over the course of his career. Talk about the Red, White, And Blue, eh?
- He even made a Predacon themed Christmas video.
- He has been known to oblige requests at conventions to sing the Sesame Street Rubber Ducky song in his Beast Wars Megatron voice. And to this day, it's very catchy.
