Gotta catch'em all!

Metrotitans are giant city-sized bots, created millions of years ago by the Knights of Cybertron to act as their living ships, and capable of tremendous feats such as teleporting across vast distances. In addition, they had Super Sparks that allowed them to straddle multiple planes of existence where they communed and divined.

Fiction

IDW Generation 1 continuity

These gigantic Transformers first came into existence long where they became the Knights of Cybertron's chosen mode of transportation. At some point Cyclonus used to pray in their shadow where he recited the Primal Sacrament in Old Cybertronian. One Metrotitan was used by the Circle of Light as a power source for Crystal City and teleported to a distant world where it remained in a comatose state after it used up all its energy. Following the reformat of Cybertron, the Metrotitan received the message "come home" but lacked the power to do so. Whilst inactive, it was reactivated by Rodimus Prime's crew on the Lost Light. However, unable to teleport, the Metrotitan howled in frustration for not being able to achieve its mission and threatened to destroy itself as it was willing its Spark to leave its body. Brainstorm used miniturisation technology that shrunk the Metrotitan that provided it enough power to teleport away from the planet. Primus: You, Me, and Other Revelations
