[[Image:Yūichi Nagashima.jpg|thumb|right|180px]Such is the dismal fate of Jaken. ] Yūichi Nagashima (長島 雄一 Nagashima Yūichi), nowadays credited as Chō (チョー), is a Japanese voice actor born December 15, 1957 in Saitama, Japan. He is most famous for playing Chō in the 1984-1991 children's show Tanken Boku no Machi, eventually becoming synonymous with the character and using the name as his stage name. A few of Nagashima's other roles include Jaken in InuYasha, Ginnosuke Nohara in Crayon Shin-chan, Brook from One Piece, the President of Everything in Super Milk-chan' and Misuzu Sonada in Ouran High School Host Club. In Japanese dubbing he has dubbed the voices for Gollum in The Lord of the Rings series, Scooby-Doo in the Scooby Doo live action movies, Elmer Fudd in The Looney Tunes, Plankton in The Spongebob Squarepants Movie, Mason in Madagascar. I.R Baboon in Cow and Chicken, Cecil in Reboot and as Winston Zeddemore in the Ghostbusters.

  • In the preview for "Fierce Battle at the Bottom of the Lake", Nagashima announces a fictional ditty called "Blitzwing's Song". He apparently pulled a similar gag during the ending credits of Beast Machines when he was playing the role of Savage/Noble.
