The NEST Rapid Response Base is a relatively new base set up in hangers at the southern end of Nellis Air Force Base. It includes laboratories and facilities for holding Decepticons.

Following the incident at Hawthorne Army Depot, General Marcus and his men joined NEST and set up the Rapid Response Base, partly to hold Reverb, but also to research the strange Cybertronian cylinder that had teleported a number of soldiers to parts unknown. The examination of the cylinder was lead by Chief Lindsay and they also conducted testing of hi-tech equipment with Hyperdynamix. Despite the strong security, Douglas Porter was able to smuggle in a small drone that freed Reverb. Battle Mountain
