After the discovery of a Cybertronian cylinder at Hawthorne Army Depot, it was given to Lindsay and his technicians to study. They determined that it used the same trans-spacial porting technology Jetfire had used to travel to Egypt, but the cylinder was damaged and they were unable to make it work.
