Sideswipe is a clone of the original Sideswipe, created by Jhiaxus as part of a second generation of Cybertronians, using stolen memory components and Nebulon science.

Wings Universe

Wings Universe is based on the Generation 1 cartoon, but deviates from it in cosmetic ways and continuity points.

The original Sideswipe discovered his clone slumbering in a tube in Jhiaxus's base on Qre. When he was in danger of being discovered, he stashed the unconscious clone behind one of the clone tubes, and posed as the second generation Sideswipe. A Flash Forward, Part 5

Sideswipe was repurposed from the original Sideswipe's Generation 2 Go-Bot toy.

A redeco of Go-Bot Firecracker, Sideswipe transforms into a blue Lamborghini Diablo with through-axle construction for super-fast rolling on smooth surfaces in car mode. He is compatible with many "Hot Wheels" and "Matchbox"-brand racetrack sets.

This mold was also used to make Go-Bot Optimus Prime and Robots in Disguise R.E.V..
