Laser rifle

The laser rifle is a standard weapon among Transformers. Bots who wield laser rifles include Generation 1 Optimus Prime[1][2], Roadbuster[3], and Slag[4] and Cybertron Hardtop[3] and Swindle.[3]
One of Spinister's Targetmasters, Hairsplitter, transforms into a twin-barelled lock-target laser rifle.[3] He's so accurate, he can sign his name on a microchip that's two miles away,[2] which is a good skill to have when your boss goes off the deep end.
Hardtop enjoys using his high-precision laser rifle, but his twin brother Swindle would rather club Autobots with his than actually shoot it.
Notes
- Originally, Optimus Prime's weapon was called a laser rifle. However, modern toys refer to his weapon as an ion blaster.
