Is there a way to modify this so that the characters on each side are arranged in two or more columns? Or could we get separate Autobot and Decepticon tables with columns for each level of rarity? Having a two column table that stretches over three screens is less than ideal. --Khajidha 14:24, 26 April 2013 (EDT)

Slipstream

Why is Slipstream linked to the WFC character when everyone else is G1? Wouldn't this represent the creation of a G1 Slipstream? --KilMichaelMcC 16:58, 26 April 2013 (EDT)

New Universe?

I dunno. I've not played this, but it kinda seems like we're looking at more redesigns/amalgams... are we looking at a Bot Shots/Kre-O situation here? Would splitting them into (Legends) be a thing to do? --M Sipher 03:12, 2 May 2013 (EDT)

The game seems VERY intended to be G1 to me. To the point where it would feel a bit weird to pretend it wasn't. Then again it blends in a lot of Modern toyline stuff. Arcee is really the only merger I've seen most of it is pretty straight G1. A few of the Bios are from FoC toys but the vast bulk are just the G1 bios, pretty exactly which would make for a ton of really unnecessary pages . Art is G1 pretty much across the board with some of CHUGUR toy influence. The intention is very clearly to be Modern G1 in the same way the IDW comics are IMO. But the execution makes me want to say it could also be a very G1y branch of Alligned. Folks who have played the game a ton what do you think?--ZacWilliam 05:59, 2 May 2013 (EDT)
I've not played it a ton, but it does seem like it's intended to be as G1 as it can possibly make itself. Unnecessary is the word, I think. - Chris McFeely 06:54, 2 May 2013 (EDT)
I haven't played it either, but I've seen pretty much all of the character art posted on Tumblr, and it sure looks pretty blatantly G1 to me. Some characters have new bodies, there's a Slipstream, Elta is a motorcycle and Arcee borrows from Prime, but still. --KilMichaelMcC 07:20, 2 May 2013 (EDT)
I think it is clearly intended to be G1; I think a case could be made to split it off as its own universe, but due to the nature of the product all that would get us would be dozens of virtually empty character pages, which unlike Bot Shots wouldn't even have their own dedicated merchandise to keep track of. (Sort of like all those Chinese MMO characters we still don't know anything about, although at least those characters are unique...) Anyway, keep it like it is, IMO. -LV 11:00, 2 May 2013 (EDT)
As stated above, the bios are a blend of FoC and G1 with a dash of Movie/Prime thrown in for good measure; even the Super Rare versions of characters keep the same bio while having updated G1/Aligned art. The only exception is Slipstream, whose bio is explicitly Animated Slipstream's, clone and all (and artwork similar to her WfC appearance). Magaroja 12:20, 3 May 2013 (EDT)
Why WAS Bot Shots split, again? Kre-O I get - what fiction there is has the characters actually made of blocks and so forth in a way that clearly isn't true for any other universe - but what's the reasoning for not just making BS part of Aligned (whose aesthetic already varies wildly between WfC/FoC and Prime) that doesn't also apply to, say, breaking IDW out of G1? - SanityOrMadness 11:55, 2 May 2013 (EDT)
According to the Bot Shots page, there is "unique fiction related to the game". I'm assuming this means something similar to the Kre-O characters actually being made of bricks - like the game mechanics actually exist within the fictional world. --Khajidha 12:37, 2 May 2013 (EDT)
Principally, that if Bot Shots were going to be incorporated into another universe, it's not obvious which one it would be. Prime and WF/FOC designs are probably the least-represented of all the influences the Bot Shots toys have. Also, the Bot Shots have bios, and many of them don't match up especially well with their Aligned portrayals. -LV 13:36, 2 May 2013 (EDT)
That doesn't usually stop these things being mashed together. And as for on-package bios, they're wildly inconsistent even in the "mainline" toys - see Generations Orion Pax for a good example, which has an Aligned bio with him as an archivist (with pitiful stats!) in spite not only of the design being based on the IDW "super-cop" Pax, but of having an IDW comic packed-in that doesn't match up with the bio at all!
(And again, there are plenty of IDW guys who bear little to no resemblance to their top-of-article summaries, yet they don't get split out. Bot Shots should go in Aligned, since Hasbro's stated desire is for all their stuff to be Aligned-based unless explicitly shown to be otherwise.) - SanityOrMadness 21:43, 2 May 2013 (EDT)
I'm not interested in having this conversation as a proxy war over whether IDW should be split out of G1. -LV 22:34, 2 May 2013 (EDT)
Yeah, no. We're neither merging Bot Shots characters or splitting IDW out of G1. --M Sipher 19:53, 3 May 2013 (EDT)
Back to the point at hand - the current in-game event overlays the primary plot of Beast Hunters into the game's quasi-G1 setting. Shockwave accidentally invents the Terrorcons whilst mucking about with "ancient CNA", but in this version, he tasks the Predacons to hunt down and capture the Terrorcons. Different enough from the mainline of Prime, and let's face it, none of it explicitly contradicts anything we know about any other G1 timeline. The G1 Terrorcons have never had an origin story per se, so I'm actually kind of completely okay with letting this G1 and appending their pages accordingly. (really, the only things that don't sync exactly are the lack of Cutthroat and everyone else having their Prime names, but that's basically a "Slingshot/Quickslinger" issue IMO.) -hx 14:37, 16 May 2013 (EDT)

Weapons

Parly related to the "New Universe" discussion below (though I agree, G1 seems to be the right home for this), I think it would make sense to say something about the Weapons in-game. I don't know if it warrants the same treatment as the WFC/FOC weapons of giving each one its own page, since there are a LOT of repetitve names (Autobot Dagger 1, Decepticon Dagger 1, Autobot Dagger 2, Arcee's Weapon, Arcee's Weapon 2), with nothing much to say other than to show the visual (which would start to push the bounds of fair-use) and the stats, which are boring.

BUT, there are some interesting continuity mash-up things going on that might bear mentioning, a few quick highlights include:

Ratchet's Weapon is his Prime-Toy's blade Magnus's Weapon is his Animated Hammer Prowl has a crazy mash-up Nightstick/Katana/Gun seemingly trying to double homage his G1-Cop and Animated-Ninja'ness Wheeljack is rocking his Prime swords Flamewar as her Energon-as-Botcon-Toy Bow

Most of the weapons are normal G1 designs, but the weapons definitely indicate an Aligned-bleed even more so than any of the charcater designs (Most of which seem to be driven by a "Earth Mode Required" {Unless your an animal...or Cyclonus} art-approach.).

Depending on what you guys WANT the weapons section to look like (even if you want to create pages for them ala WFC), I'm happy to put some hours into this, I'm quite in love with the game (the art especially). --Destrongerlupus 14:22, 16 May 2013 (EDT)

I was thinking about this myself - I don't know that "Autobot dagger" or "Decepticon rifle" needs a specific entry, above and beyond what we already have (we have a page for maces, maybe one for swords?). I'd certainly be amenable to appending relevant existing pages with game info, though. (And anyone who wants to make an article for Rifles is a braver sort than I.) -hx 14:33, 16 May 2013 (EDT)
I thiiiiink I'd prefer to see the So-And-So's Weapon cards included with the Legends section of the character's own wiki page, simply because there's so little to them. I mean, they don't even have names. As for the rest of the weapons, I don't know that I'd consider them worth mentioning outside of the Legends page in general.
I DO think we need much better coverage of Legends in general, even if it's mostly stubby stuff that links away to the very thorough Wikia wiki. -LV 19:59, 16 May 2013 (EDT)
I agree, although I basically haven't had the time to do much. I'll try and maybe flesh it out a bit. And yeah, include their special weapons on the character pages. It's just another card to collect in the game, so whatever, you know? -hx 09:32, 17 May 2013 (EDT)
Cool, I'll see about adding them to character specific pages where notable, and using them to add a little flavor to the general "Mace" pages and whatnot. Thanks for the support and direction!--Destrongerlupus 14:32, 17 May 2013 (EDT)

Character Art

First things first: are screenshots from apple devices allowed? If so, Would it be okay to start a gallery of the character art? Maybe one each for vehicle and robot modes I have all of the 1's and 2's and people can add any art that is missing.
