Originally founded in Dallas, Texas in 1927, 7-11 bills itself as "world’s largest operator, franchisor and licensor [sic] of convenience stores." As of 2013, the company claims 8,600 stores in the United States and Canada, plus another 42,300 facilities in such countries as Japan and Taiwan.

In addition to being home to various food- and food-related products based on the Transformers franchise, 7-11 often vends exclusive Transformers product.
