The name or term "Blast Off" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Blast Off (disambiguation).
Blast Off is a Decepticon from the Fall of Cybertron portion of the Aligned continuity family.
Giant, flying death-church.

Blast Off may seem disgusted by those who cannot escape the atmosphere and reach the orbit on their own ability, but it's really a front to hide the loneliness when he's up there. He is also a bit of a speed demon, and is a bit reckless about it. Combining with the other Combaticons, they can form Bruticus.

Fiction

Rage of the Dinobots

During the final days of the evacuation of Cybertron, Blast Off led a Decepticon team in an attack on the ground troops supporting the Autobot evacuation ships. It might have gone well if these troops hadn't included the Dinobots, but they did and thus Blast Off ended up with Grimlock's sword through his chest. Rage of the Dinobots #1

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron (360/PS3/PC)

Voice actor: Keith Silverstein (English)

When the Autobots came into possession of a large amount of energon, Starscream tasked the Combaticons with diverting the transport by destroying a bridge. Vortex and Blast Off were sent to clear a short cut to allow Brawl to take a drop ship through. Blast Off went through first, drawing out Autobot mines for Vortex to destroy. Once they got through the ruins, the Autobots closed some huge shutters, so Blast Off went ahead, leaving Vortex behind to fight all the Autobots by himself. Once the bridge was down and Swindle brought the transport to a halt, the Combaticons combined into Bruticus and smashed through the rest of its defenses. Unfortunately the damage they did resulted in the transport crashing. Starscream was not very pleased at all and had them all arrested.

Blast Off and the Combaticons were later freed once Megatron was resurrected and retook his leadership. They were aboard the Nemesis as it pursued the Ark and Blast Off took part in the assault on the Autobot ship's engines as part of Bruticus. The giant took out many Autobots before he was taken down by the combined efforts of Jazz and the Aerialbots before floating free of the Ark. Fall of Cybertron

Generations

He's like the Organ that played Rocket Man.
  • Decepticon Bruticus (Multi-pack, 2012)
Accessories: 2 hand-held blasters/tailfins
The first version of Generations: Fall of Cybertron Blast Off released was made available as part of a Hasbro Toy Shop exclusive "Decepticon Bruticus" giftset that contains all five Combaticons in (more or less) game-accurate colors. Like most Hasbro Toy Shop exclusive toys, it was initially sold at the store's booth at San Diego Comic-Con 2012 and made available at the store's website a few days later.
Blast Off's alternate mode is a Cybertronian "rocket plane". Unlike the largely gray game model, however, Blast Off's main color is a caramel shade. His comes with two pistols which peg/are pegged via 5mm post onto his hands and forearms, and can peg onto both sides of the alternate mode's rear section to provide Blast Off with tailfins.
Blast Off can also combine with his fellow Combaticons into Bruticus and serve as any of the gestalt robot's four limbs, though his official configuration shown in the instructions is the right arm. Blast Off's arm mode is much longer than the arm modes of the other components, and while a shorter arm mode can be achieved, this is not advisable as it puts incredible stress on Blast Off's torso and may damage it. His blasters can be combined with the other Combaticons' weapons to form Bruticus's Sonic Cannon.
This mold was redecoed into Generation 2 Blast Off and retooled into Fall of Cybertron Topspin.

I'm the version you really want.
  • Blast Off (Deluxe, 2012)
    • Series / Number: 01 / #008
    • PART 2 OF 5!
    • Accessories: 2 hand-held blasters/tailfins
A redeco of Blast Off from the Decepticon Bruticus gift set was available individually alongside his fellow Combaticons as part of the second wave of the Fall of Cybertron-themed 2012-onwards Deluxe Class Generations assortment. These versions of the Combaticons replace the game-accurate, Generation 1-inspired decos with more "flashy" colors apparently homaging the color scheme of Bruticus Maximus. Blast Off replaces the primarily tan colors and purple details of the giftset release with a mainly purple body and yellow detailing, and features new yellow paint operations on his blaster.

Platinum Edition

  • Grimlock vs Decepticon Bruticus (Multi-pack, 2013)
    • Accessories: 2 hand-held blasters/tailfins
Platinum Edition "Decepticon Bruticus" is a seemingly-identical re-release of his San Diego Comic-Con 2012 toy. As such, Blast Off is seemingly unchanged. He and the other Combaticons come with a redeco of Fall of Cybertron Grimlock.

Notes

  • Blast Off's armor set and individual parts are available in the Multiplayer Havoc DLC pack for Fall of Cybertron. His parts are labeled as "Wingman".
