- Ratchet is an Autobot from the Kre-O continuity.
Ratchet is a great medic/mechanic (he claims he's the best one on this side of Cybertron). However he's not running a charity, so if you want a new plasma coil or other body part, come with cash, credit card or other form of payment. His favorite pastime is to comb intergalactic thrift stores for vintage Kre-O bricks and his most prized possession is an energon-infused schematic of Optimus Prime. Oddly enough, his biggest fear is spiders.

Ratchet was one of the Autobots who left Cybertron in the Ark in search for energy blocks to alleviate their hunger. Thanks to the boarding of the Ark by Decepticons, the Ark crashed and the Transformers fell into a four million year-long sleep. They woke up to a world filled with blocks. Kre-O Transformers Konquest
The Autobots' peaceful day in Kreopolis was shattered when the city was bombarded by the Decepticons, and a number of Autobots including Ratchet were shattered into their component blocks. As Ratchet's pieces rained from the sky, they were caught by Optimus Prime's Kreon, and the Autobot medic was soon reassembled.
