i like that TFWiki has a sense of humor. i like that conveying accurate information trumps humor. i'm not sure why Inkblot revised my edit to this:

an officially-licensed Lancia Stratos with proper "Alitalia" markings

even though

an officially-licensed Lancia Stratos (Unknown whether the switch back from "Alitalla" to "Alitalia" was officially licensed)

not only conveys the same information in a funnier way, but also points out what we don't know (so that someone who does know will know to tell us).

When HasTak uses a name and/or likeness with permission, we mention it:

  • Masterpiece Wheeljack transforms into an officially-licensed Lancia Stratos
  • For the Alternators line, "Meister" was given a new alternate mode, namely a highly accurate, licensed 1:24 scale white Mazda RX-8

When HasTak uses (or approximates) a name and/or likeness without permission, we mention it:

  • The original Wheeljack toy, with sponsor decals by Italian airline Alitalia, which were changed to "Alitalla" for the toy (presumably to avoid licensing problems)
  • Special Ops Jazz looks like Jazz's original Porsche front-end wearing Pontiac Solstice headlights for a hat

Shouldn't the wiki say whether or not Alitalia knows/approves of Masterpiece Wheeljack's product placement? or, if we don't know, shouldn't we make that clear? especially right on the heels of the note that the Lancia Stratos mode is licensed--not saying anything makes it seem (perhaps incorrectly) that Lancia and Alitalia both signed off on the Masterpiece design.
