Wildrider (G1)
- Wildrider is a Decepticon and a Stunticon in the Generation 1 continuity family.
What Fireflight does for air travel Wildrider does for the roadways. The difference is that the Aerialbot honestly means no harm and this insanely wild-riding Stunticon most definitely does. Some of his Decepticon comrades suspect him of playing insane to enhance his street cred, but those who have come to know him the best realize that it's no act. Wildrider really is as crazy as they come and a very real danger to anything on the road with him. Even his fellow Stunticons are wary of driving anywhere near him.
Wildrider combines with his fellow Stunticons to form Menasor.

At some point in Cybertron's recent history, the Stunticons were deemed psychotic and too dangerous to function in society, and as a result were placed into perpetual stasis lock inside of a prison facility. Later, in an attempt to create a diversion while he set his final plans in motion, Shockwave arranged for the release of the Stunticons. They formed into Menasor and ran amuck for awhile, until Ultra Magnus arrived and began insulting them. Unable to reconcile with this, the five Stunticons began to bicker with each other over whose fault it was that they were failing, temporarily stopping Menasor and allowing Ultra Magnus to ram the combiner in the chest, forcing him to separate into his component parts and disabling the Stunticons.

- Wildrider transforms into a dark grey Ferrari 308 GTB sports car. He comes with a large, black double-barreled laser cannon that attaches onto the back of his vehicle mode.
- In robot mode, Wildrider is armed with black laser pistol. He usually forms Menasor's left leg, but as a Scramble City combiner limb, he can also occupy any other limb position.
Unreleased
- Wildrider (Stunticon, Generation 2)
- For the Generation 2 line, Hasbro intended to release redecoes of the Stunticons in 1994, but ultimately the toys never went into mass poduction and remained officially unreleased. Only the four limbs are known to have made it to the sample packaging stage, having turned up in very limited numbers over the years (with the exception of G2 Breakdown, who was available at BotCon 1994 in somewhat larger quantities). All the G2 Stunticons are known to catch high prices on the secondary market.[1][2]
Trivia
- In 2005, the mold used for Alternators Decepticharge was presented as an upcoming release for the Japanese Binaltech line. Originally, Takara intended to name for their version of the toy "Wildrider", possibly because the Hasbro version's deco resembled the unreleased G2 Wildrider toy's color scheme. However, Takara ultimately had to abandon that idea because they couldn't get the trademark. Instead, they decided to give the toy an entirely new deco, as the Hasbro toy's deco didn't appear to their ideal of "real-life accuracy". In robot mode, the toy was given a color scheme based on the Transmetal 2 incarnation of Beast Wars Blackarachnia, with the toy's name being changed to "Black Widow", Takara's name for the character. Ultimately, however, Takara decided to cancel the toy altogether, as they were fearing that another redeco (in addition to the upcoming Binaltech Asterisk toys) would be too repetitive. Plans to release the toy as part of a different line were never picked up again.[3]
