The micro-bug is a device from the Generation 1 continuity family.

The micro-bug is a Cybertronian device used for covert spying. It consists of a small camera lens and an internal antenna capable of streaming live video across large distances.

Ravage planted one on Bumblebee under cover of a fight while the Autobot was taking a polarizer back to Autobot headquarters. The bug then proceeded to relay sensitive information about Wheeljack's new invention back to Decepticon Headquarters, cluing Megatron in to the device's existence.
