Should that Featured tag be taken out? Looking at the last two edit summaries leaves me to wonder about how articles actually get to be Featured. (Speaking of things that are Featured, this article really should be.) --KilMichaelMcC 05:29, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Religion

Is this:

Despite having no concrete evidence these beings exist, and despite the records of the Beast Wars affirming their evolution from bipedal primates, the humans continue to assume these premises are true. This seems like a waste of spent attention, especially with such short lifespans, as no credible sources have substantiated that their alleged creator has ever transformed out of their world into a giant humanoid and fought its eternal enemy before their eyes. While some humans accept that they evolved from bipedal primates, there are others who maintain the divine intervention theory with a zeal that leads one to wonder if they are malfunctioning. Though some have contended that the two theories are mutually exclusive, many seem to fall in a categorization that somehow accepts both. Many human traditions are puzzling.

Actually the attitude presented in fiction? If not, it does come off as as an unfair dig. I agree with both KrytenKoro and Loudstone. Unless the authors have concrete evidence that the entire universe that the Transformers and humans exist in created itself from nothing (concluding documenting how life coming from non-life - AKA Abiogenesis), then the attacks on a supernatural creator and the religious beliefs of human beings are without warrant, and bias and ignorance of the writer's personal opinions, with absolutely nothing to do with any official Transformers canon. Alleged pre-human primates seen in 'Beast Wars' do not debunk the possibility of a supernatural creator or qualify the Transformers brand as being anti-religion, nor make a statement on the origins of the universe. The apparent atheistic or agnostic stance of the author would also fall under the category of a religious belief (one of anti-religious, also lacking emprirical evidence) that would also not be immune to the same criticism. It's safe to say this should be removed, unless the author has empirical evidence that proves that a supernatural God does not exist and the millions of humans who believe in a creator God (or Gods), supernatural happenings, and spirit/soul afterlife are all wrong and that the Transformers brand agrees with the sentiment of the author. In fact, with the Masterforce series and beyond, the Japanese Transformer cartoons touched upon supernatural beings and supernatural powers of Transformers unlocked by human spirits or souls. It is best to remove this erroneous thought process and biased opinion (that is, face it, intended to troll theists) from the wiki.
