The Transcendent Technomorphs register a largescale multiversal event that they trace back to one universe's Overlord.
Synopsis
In his control room in Axiom Nexus, the Transcendent Technomorph Rhinox detects alarming "multiple phenomena" across corresponding clusters, including universal streams long thought destroyed. The TransTech look at the past solar cycle for irregularities, leading them to Primax 207.0 Epsilon, where they find an Overlord.
They watch Gigatron leading a charge on Ironworks for the Autobot's Rarified Energon. Metalhawk comes to the rescue, and helps force the Decepticons into retreat. The TransTech realize that rarified energon, which is unique to this universe, may be related to the current multiversal crisis. They fast forward ahead to see three shadowy figures emerge into the universe. Megatron wonders what the visitors' origin is, but Optimus Prime already knows: Primax -408.24 Epsilon. The evil Autobots have finally discovered the means to cross dimensional barriers. Optimus Prime notes that with two mirror universes in conflict, the balance of the multiverse is no longer what they once knew.

Quotes
"Your willinness to die will entertain my troops... ...but as you are not my quarry... ...they will need to seek their entertainment elsewhere."
- — Gigatron
"Well. You're not supposed to be here."
"I could say the same thing about you, Gigatron! Last I saw you was in Kitakyushu. Looking for a magical sword."
"Hn. These humans exaggerate the power of their trinkets. But this rarefied energon you Autobots have brought here... I can sense its strength. It is more powerful than anything I have ever felt before. It will be MINE!"
- — Gigatron and Metalhawk
"They also seem to have a functioning Overlord. A little on the short side though."
- — Megatron states what we are all thinking.
Notes
Errors
- The plural of "phenomenon" is "phenomena". This was corrected in a later revision.
- Octopunch was quickly edited to be in his Marvel colors 'cuz once David Willis starts whining...
Transformers references
- Rhinox is surprised that Primax 1291.0 Zeta (the "Another Time & Place" universal stream) is no longer destroyed. He previously announced its destruction in "Withered Hope", wherein it was announced that the universe (and the Tonka GoBots' universe) had been displaced by Primax 207.0 Epsilon (the Classicsverse).
Trivia
- Initially released exclusively online, this six-page comic later got a print release as bonus content in the Diamond Edition of "Invasion". The print version of the story alters some dialogue, eliminating the overtly Japanese elements of Metalhawk and Gigatron's encounter (the print version is quoted above; originally, Metalhawk added an "okimi" suffix to Gigatron's name, and the "magical sword" was "Musashi's sword"), and entirely changing the exchange about Rareified Energon, saying basically the same thing in an entirely different way.
- Artist Mangin drew fan-character "Ursa Magnus" into the background of panel 2. While this was (sort-of) called out in the script, it went unnoticed by the editor, who upon later learning of its existence clarified it as an Easter egg shout-out to a fan.
- Pete Sinclair says that three of Gigatron's Decepticons remain offpanel.
