The name or term "Devastator" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Devastator (disambiguation).
Devastator is a Decepticon combiner from the Unicron Trilogy continuity family (via the 2003 Universe series). who was drawn into the Universe War.
He devastates things. Devastates them right in the kneecap.

Devastator is the sum of the six Micromaster Constructicons: Bonecrusher, Buckethead, Hightower, Long Haul, Quickmix, and Scavenger. Devastator's personality, like that of his components, is unknown. He has no known connection with the other Decepticon combiner named "Devastator" elsewhere in the multiverse, not to mention the one also in the Universe War.

Of course, being a combiner composed entirely of Micromasters, Devastator is only of slightly larger than average height, as Transformers go.

Fiction

Ask Vector Prime

In universal stream Aurex 1104.30-DB Zeta (a highly Primax-influenced universe), Defensor, Rail Racer, and Superion was born from Dr. Brian Jones's attempts at reverse-engineering Maximus combiner technology and applying it to Mini-Con anatomy. However, the Decepticons stole the technology and created their own combiner, Devastator. Superion, Defensor, and Rail Racer fought Devastator in the Combiner Wars during the Unicron Singularity crisis. Ask Vector Prime

Universe

Devastator! Devastator! Devastator!
  • Constructicon Devastator (Combiner, 2004)
A redeco of Sixbuilder in Generation 1 Constructicon-inspired colors, the six component robots were only available on individual cards. While similar to the Decepticon Sixbuilder redeco, this version is molded in distinctly different colors with far more purple and black paint applications. When separated into his component robots, the leftover combiner kibble can combine to form a single-pilot jet.
A KB Toys exclusive, the Micromaster Constructicons were also ultimately available from Sears during Christmastime, and Kmart's online store.

Energon

Replace Buckethead with Micromaster Protectobot Prowl if you wish to loosely replicate the Prowl-headed IDW Devastator.
  • Constructicon Devastator (Combiner, 2004)
The components to Constructicon Devastator were also released under the Energon line in Europe. Presumably this is because the Universe line was never released in the European market. Why the Micromasters were the only part of the Universe line to get a European release is unknown, but it probably had something to do with their sub-Basic class size and previously being Japanese-exclusive molds.
