Akio ÅŒtsuka
Akio Ōtsuka (大塚 明夫 Ohtsuka Akio, November 24, 1959) is a Japanese voice actor. His gruff, manly voice has been utilized for a great number of characters, including Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid series, Batou in Ghost in the Shell, Anavel Gato in Mobile Suit Gundam 0083, Wammu in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Ansem: Seeker of Darkness (and later Master Xehanort) in the Kingdom Hearts series, Dimple & the Narrator of Mob Psycho 100, the titular surgeon of Black Jack, Shunsui Kyoraku in Bleach, Rider/Iskandar in the Fate franchise, Marshall D. Teach/Blackbeard in One Piece, All For One in My Hero Academia, Champ/Oushi Black in Uchuu Sentai Kyuranger and is the current voice of Daisuke Jigen in Lupin the 3rd beginning in 2021.
He is much more active in the world of dubbing, being the main dub voice for Nicolas Cage, Steven Seagal, Antonio Banderas, Dolph Lundgren, Denzel Washington, Dennis Quaid, Javier Bardem and also one of the voices for Jeff Bridges, Jean Reno, Samuel L. Jackson, Kiefer Sutherland, Ernie Hudson, Wesley Snipes, Liam Neeson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Nick Nolte, and Michael Madsen. Other notable roles include Peacemaker in the DCU, Cable in Deadpool 2, Red Guardian in the MCU, Punisher in Punisher: War Zone, William Wallace in Braveheart, Edmond Dantes in the 2002 The Count of Monte Cristo, Ape in the George of the Jungle duology, James T. Kirk and William T. Riker in several Star Trek films and series, JR in Dallas and Negan in The Walking Dead. In animation he voiced Launchpad McQuack in DuckTales: Treasure of the Lost Lamp & Darkwing Duck, Two-Face in Batman: The Animated Series, Bobby in Animaniacs, Colossus in TV Tokyo's dub of X-Men, The Mandarin in Iron Man, Spider-Man Noir in the Spider-Verse films, the Skeleton King in Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!, the eponymous anti-hero of Todd McFarlane's Spawn, Dick Dastardly in the 2017 Wacky Races and Iron Will in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic
