Basso Profundo

Basso Profundo is an alien from the cartoon portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

You just wish you had a moustache on your chin.

Basso Profundo is the leader of Eurythma and, along with Allegra and Zebop Skandana, provides a third of the harmony used in the harmonic weapon that protects Eurythma. Basso has a hostile relationship with Allegra, and dislikes her style of music.

In Allegra's defense, Basso is a bit of a jerk.

The Transformers cartoon

After the three Eurythmans used their harmony to destroy a comet threatening their world, Basso had a falling-out with his fellows, who left the city. Basso resumed his duties, and a short time later was visited by Ultra Magnus and Blaster, who had been shot down by the harmonic weapon. The two Autobots asked for help in defeating the Decepticons, but Basso turned them down, believing that he would be able to use the harmony to defend the city.

When the battling Autobots and Decepticons neared the city, Basso attempted to use an amplifier to boost his third of the harmony. The weapon didn't have enough of an effect on the Transformers, and Basso realised that he needed Zebop and Allegra to make it work. The city subsequently came under attack from Soundwave, who had recorded the other two parts of the harmony. Basso tried to counter it with his own part of the harmony, but this only resulted in Soundwave recording that and using the complete harmonic weapon to devastate the city.

Once Ultra Magnus returned to the city with Zebop and Allegra, the trio were able to repair the felled Autobots with a different harmony. The three Eurythmans returned to Earth with the Autobots, where Galvatron and Soundwave were overwhelming Metroplex with the stolen harmony. The trio of aliens countered it with anti-sound, giving Blaster enough time to erase the harmony from Soundwave's tapes. The battle over, Basso, Zebop and Allegra returned to their world, where Ultra Magnus suggested they might try to live in harmony. Carnage in C-Minor
