Batsby

Batsby is a member of the Jock Squad from BotBots.
Grass grows, birds fly, sun shines, and brother? I hurt people.

Now stepping up to bat is Batsby, the slugger of the Jock Squad. Every swing they make brings the thunder that sends the balls flying so far that they'll make it back to home plate no sweat.

Toys

BotBots

[edit]
Put me in (multiple different packages) coach, I'm ready to play, today.
  • Blind Bag Mystery Figures (Single pack, 2018)
  • Series: 1
  • ID Code: 23
  • Level: 2 Star
  • Known designers: AJ Piejko-Brown (packaging), Ryan Glantz (instruction designer){{#if: |, {{{2}}}}}
Part of the first Series of BotBots, Batsby transforms from a baseball bat into a 1-inch tall robot.
The only notable difference between the single-pack and multi-pack releases (see below) is that the single-pack has production number stamping, where the multi-pack versions do not.
Batsby is available in the blindpacked single-bot packages, and comes 1 to a case of 24, like everyone else in the assortment.
This mold was also used to make Big Botti, and Strike Four, and was going to be used again to make Home Rundown, but that figure was canceled.

  • Greaser Gang (8-pack, 2018)
  • Series: 1
  • Level: 2 Star
  • Known designers: AJ Piejko-Brown (packaging){{#if: |, {{{2}}}}}
Batsby is also available in one of the "Greaser Gang" 8-packs, packaged with Angry Cheese, Fottle Barts, Goob Toob, Sippy Slurps, Sticky McGee, Venus Frogtrap, and Lost Bot Clogstopper.
This pack is a "recommended minimum buy" for a complete set of Series 1 BotBots.

  • Jock Squad (8-pack, 2018)
  • Series: 1
  • Level: 2 Star
  • Known designers: AJ Piejko-Brown (packaging){{#if: |, {{{2}}}}}
Batsby is also also available in one of the "Jock Squad" themed 8-packs, along with Arctic Guzzlerush, Hawt Diggity, King Toots, Major Lee Screwge, Slappyhappy, Sprinkleberry D'uhnut, and Lost Bot Bonz-Eye.

Notes

[edit]
  • Batsby appears as a prop on the exercise equipment rack at the Decepticon base in the Transformers Stop Motion Netflix Anime short "Virtually Reality".
  • Like several characters in the BotBots cartoon, Batsby's gender is different from the toy's original bio from Hasbro's website. In Batsby's case, the original toy bio uses masculine pronouns, while the cartoon depicts the character as female.
