Bilge (Armada)

Bilge is a Unicron-aligned Mini-Con from the Legends of the Microns portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.
Arr, ye dirty me-rats.

The Aqua Raider Team are all dirty pirates...and Bilge (ビルジ Biruji) is the dirtiest one of them all. The Team leader, Bilge has the swagger, the ruthlessness, even the vocal patterns of the bandits of Earth's seas. He delights in the cruelty of his mission, gleefully serving the will of his master Unicron.

Bilge and the other Aqua Raider Mini-Cons were sent to the Hawaiian islands seeking out the Super Stunt Team and the Sonic Assault Team, with orders to leave at least one of them alive for use in their plans to destroy the Linkage. Linkage Part 8 However, the raid did not go remotely as planned; the Mini-Cons had evacuated their shuttle and set up their equipment on dry land, so the Aqua Raiders' assault on an empty shuttle bought them a few seconds, enough time for them to unlock the Master Key and access their full power well. With this new power at the hands of Redline and Combusta, Bilge and his cohorts were quickly defeated and captured. Linkage Part 9

When Ravenus attempted to destroy the Linkage using the Doomstone, Flat-Out demanded the Aqua Raiders tell him how to stop the Doomstone, but they had no answers for him. Linkage Part 11 The Aqua Raiders escaped after Ravenus failed, breaking through their energy-wall prison using trans-phase mode, the same seemingly nanitic reconfiguration ability possessed by the likes of Sideways and Nemesis Prime. Linkage Part 12

Though Bilge was not seen again afterwards, his teammate Freeboot was shown fighting alongside the Dead End drones as the Autobots and Decepticons battled the colossal Unicron. Therefore, it is assumed that Bilge was also present at this battle... and very likely was destroyed. Linkage Part 13

Legends of the Microns Bilge is a redeco of the Sea Mini-Con Team member Stormcloud, transforming into a speedboat with top-mounted pressure-launch missile. The launcher is also available in robot mode, attached to his back and swinging over his head.
He was only available with the first run of the ninth Legends of the Microns DVD in Japan, and came with the ninth installment of the Linkage comic. Later pressings of the disc, however, did not include the toy or comic.
This toy doubles as the Beast Wars: Uprising character Bilge, and the mold was also used to make Mile.

  • According to "Linkage" author Hirofumi Ichikawa, Bilge and the rest of the Aqua Raider Team were originally part of the Exodus crew, but were caught and turned into minions of Unicron as Tailslide was.
